Correctional Facility Ceremonies
There is currently NO Waiting List for me to conduct ceremonies in MN DOC facilities.
Correctional Facillity Ceremonies are not available in all circumstances.
Ceremonies are subject to approval by the facility as well as Officiant.
Facility Permission must be obtained.
* Many County Correctional locations will not permit a wedding.
*MN State DOC requires I complete and be approved to the visitors list. This is a change to previous policy. Because
of this, I have a 90 day wait between visitor's lists with the MNDOC.
* Federal BOP Inmates are subject to approval by the Facility before allowing a marriage. Each facility may have special requirements and should be contacted directly before securing services.
* Inmates under special detainment like ICE or other Federal Holds may have special restrictions or requirements.
Incarcerated party must have sufficient privileges to allow 4 visitors in a contact format.
*Restricted privileges or non contact visits are not permissible for a wedding.
*You are required to supply 2 witnesses who are also on the approved visiting list. Other inmates and guards are
not able to witness.
Marriage license needs to be obtained and all required inmate signatures completed prior to ceremony.
*Documents cannot be brought in for signature in most custody situations.
Service agreement and deposit must be made before ceremony is formally scheduled with facility.
*Agency visitation paperwork will not be submitted until Agreement has been completed and deposit is made.
*Final payment is required before entry to visitation areas.
Restrictions and right to decline
*I do reserve the right to verify conviction information before asking for a signed Agreement or deposit.
* A signed Agreement and Deposit is required before an application for Visitation is submitted. In the case of a
decline, any deposit will be refunded. I have not ever been denied visitation.
*I will not provide marriage services to certain types of Offenders. I can expand upon this at your request.
*Marriage services may not be available at all times. Due to MN DOC and other agency requirements, there are
specific waiting periods between visitation lists and entries.
